Andrew McGovern is an icon in Australian freshwater fishing and it was a privilege to have him on for this episode. We received a message from one of our followers who asked the question regarding fishing in the dark... He mentioned that it’s a difficult style of fishing if you don’t know what you’re doing, and he asked if we could share some extra information on this style of fishing.

In this episode I cover a range of different things including the equipment you need for night fishing, different techniques, and handy things you need to understand to give you the best chance at success. These techniques can be applied to any species that you chase in the dark, but in this episode we relate mostly to big Murray Cod.

In this episode I was lucky enough to sit down and interview Brendon Spicer on chasing Trout in the Snowy Mountains of NSW. Brendon has a passion and love for Trout and has dedicated his last 8 years fishing the rivers, streams and lakes of the Snowy Mountains.

In this episode we discuss a range of topics including what style of fishing is best during each season, Brendon shares his tips for bank walking the lakes and for fishing a river system. Ep30 – Colby Lesko: Chasing Big Murray Cod and Tips for the Murray River and Copeton Dam

Colby Lesko is a fishing legend, especially when it comes to chasing monster Murray Cod. Only young, but a mass of experience and time on the water means Colby knows his stuff and consistently catches big fish. In this episode we dive right into Colby’s life and what an ‘average’ week looks like for Colby… and trust me its not average.

Then we talk about how Colby approaches a session on the Murray River chasing winter cod, we run through his approach, fishing styles and lure choice. Then we get into talking about trophy dam cod and Colby even explains how he would fish a new waterway that he has never fished before.
