Ep 43 – Windamere Trip 2020 with Rhys, Maso, Muz, Deano & Glen Stewart

Welcome to our Windamere Podcast 2.0! Last year we recorded an episode on the banks of Windamere Dam with Maso, Muz, Mitchy and myself… and this year we are BACK!

The response to last years episode was huge so we thought we would give it another crack. This year we welcome Deano and the legend himself, Glen ‘Stewie’ Stewart. This man has been around the fishing world for an exceptionally long time and has more knowledge than the rest of us combined.

This was a great chat between a bunch of keen anglers as we talked all about the trip, what we had experienced so far and things we learnt over the few days. Towards the back end of the podcast we talk about more general topics, big cod and Glen shares some wise words on his experiences.

Victoria Camera is a down to earth Aussie angler who just LOVES Murray Cod! She only recently found her passion for fishing, but it has consumed her life and she loves nothing more than to get out and trek the banks of the Murrumbidgee River in the ACT.

We received a message from one of our followers who asked the question regarding fishing in the dark... He mentioned that it’s a difficult style of fishing if you don’t know what you’re doing, and he asked if we could share some extra information on this style of fishing.

In this episode I cover a range of different things including the equipment you need for night fishing, different techniques, and handy things you need to understand to give you the best chance at success. These techniques can be applied to any species that you chase in the dark, but in this episode we relate mostly to big Murray Cod.

This is a CRACKER of an episode with Clint Hansell, the big cod guru! This man knows his stuff when it comes to catching trophy cod in impoundments, and in particular, Blowering Dam. What I love about this episode is its unlike any other as Clint thinks outside the box and takes notice of incredible details when it comes to fishing. There is so much you can learn from this chat and if you love cod… it is a must listen! I hope you enjoy as much as I did!
