For this special edition I’m joined by three legends in the freshwater fishing world, Dan Webber, Jack Hocking and Jakko Davis. These three blokes have an incredible wealth of knowledge and have caught crazy numbers of big cod.
I was lucky enough to tee them up for a quick chat each to include in this episode, and with each I discuss their plans for the season opener. Enjoy the latest episode and good luck for cod opening!

Josh Read lives and breaths fishing and will head out at any chance he gets. In this episode Josh talks about fishing small clear systems for Murray Cod from his punt, and tips on how he does it. He also talks about what happened to the Upper Murray after the devastating bushfires, and what impact this event had on the Murray Cod population. Josh worked with local fisheries and through his local fishing club to clean up after the event, and now in works to restock and study the system for the future of the fishery.
Josh and his girlfriend were also lucky enough to come across not one, but two Golden tagged fish in Victoria and he share this experience. Then towards the end of the episode we talk about live technology and we both share our experiences on this topic.

Live Technology takes up a big chunk of this chat as Jakko shares how he uses this tech and what he has learnt. Being bale to watch the fish under the surface for the last 12 months has opened our eyes to how cod actually behave.
The topics and things we cover in this episode are crazy! Towards the end of the episode we talk about life, goals, people who inspire us and also the covid world we currently have on our hands.

Romen Dicovski is probably best known for his involvement in producing the popular Googong Green and Gold Series that was published on DVD many years ago. He has spent the best part of the last decade chasing monster cod and yellas that swim in Googong Dam.
Romen has an incredible passion for fishing that started when he was very young with trips to the saltwater with his mate. This evolved into fishing the local waters in the ACT and even more so fishing Googong Dam for those trophy Murray Cod. In this episode we get to learn more about Romen, his background and why he has such a passion for fishing.
Romen also talks about the production of the Googong Green and Gold DVD’s, how the idea came about and the process to putting this content together. We then move on to talking about Googong Dam and techniques for chasing the resident fish. Later on, Romen explains the technique of vertically fishing for Murray Cod, a highly underutilised approach that works exceptionally well.
This is a jammed packed episode, and you don’t want to miss a single minute of it! Hit play and enjoy!
